The Low Down

Trunow awards points, then converts the points into cash back for any purchase at a gas or convenience stores. Upload ANY printed receipt and watch your cash back increase! They also offer incentives for buying certain products in the store.

In the app, click “Receipt”, type in the name and address of your purchase location, take a picture of yuor receipt and upload it. You get additional cash if you rate your experience at that store.  The app typically shows gas stations within a 5 mile radius, but typing in the address will allow you to locate the store.

Rewards System: Each total purchase, depending on the purchase store equals a certain amount of points. The points are awarded and converted in to a cash amount. Typically, it ranges from 1% to 3% of your total purchase. Cash back is awarded by uploading your receipts within the app.

Payment System: Cash back can be redeemed for gift cards to specifice retailers or “instant” cash and transferred via PayPal. HOWEVER, transferring to PayPal will cost you 50% of your total reward and returns it to the retailer rewards pool.

Summary: Honestly, earning rewards in trunow is slow and you have to upload receipts. But, the app is comprehensive in the fact that it combines cash back gas apps, rebate apps, and gas finders all in one.  It is worth the trouble of uploading receipts, since it does give you cash back.
